MITZI EVES
Broker/Owner
Mitzi Eves, Heritage Real Estate Group President and Associate Broker, was born and raised in Mexia, Texas. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Family & Consumer Science from Baylor University, she lived in Dallas for 16 years. In Dallas, Mitzi worked Retail Sales and Management for Lord & Taylor and Neiman Marcus. She left the world of retail and worked as the Property Estate Manager/Caretaker for a Royal Family from Saudi Arabia. She stayed in this position managing the Royal Family's personal appointments; managing their accounts, staff and property; personal shopping and traveling the world for over 14 years.
Mitzi studied and tested for her Real Estate license in 2000 and worked part-time for Coldwell Banker Preston Center in addition to her full-time job working for the Royal Family. Eventually she moved to Celina, Texas, and began working full-time for Herrin Real Estate LLC and simultaneously served as the Director for the Celina Chamber of Commerce.
When Mitzi and her family moved back to Mexia she taught Family & Consumer Science classes for Mexia ISD. She loved the relationships with her students and the bond with the Teaching Staff but her love of Real Estate called her to purchase Heritage Real Estate LLC which was founded by one of her childhood friends. Mitzi bought the Brokerage in 2015 and has been working and expanding the marketing area over the years. Today Heritage Real Estate LLC currently has 6 Realtors underneath the Brokerage which was awarded by the Mexia News: Best Real Estate Agent and Best Real Estate Company for 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025.

PAT ADAMS
Real Estate Agent
Pat Adams is a lifelong resident of Limestone County. She has had her real estate license for many years and has worked in Mexia for the past two years. She has two grown children, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Pat is active in her Community and is involved by volunteering in several organizations. Pat is also a lifelong Educator working in several local school districts for over 45 years. DAWN KATE JAMES

Dawn James was born and raised in Mexia and is a Mexia High graduate of 1987. She married her high school sweetheart David James, though David actually graduated a few years earlier in 1980 from Mexia.
Dawn has been a Realtor since 2018. She is also a licensed Auctioneer in the state of Texas which allows her to assist clients with estate liquidation – auctioning both personal property and Real Estate.
Dawn has 35 years of business experience. Over her career she has specialized in sales, marketing and customer relations. She has balanced multi-million dollar budgets and managed over a 100 employees/ contractors. She had a long and prestigious career in the newspaper industry as the Regional Executive Director for BH Media and the publicly traded McClatchy newspapers. She managed a 5 state region – some of the larger newspapers she managed were the Fort Worth Star Telegram, Waco Tribune-Herald, Tulsa World and the Kansas City Star.
Dawn also has an entrepreneur background as she and her husband have owned several small businesses over the years such as a tanning salon, a fitness center, and currently an antique shop in Robinson. A couple of years ago, they decided to move back home to Mexia to be closer to family, lifelong friends, and to reconnect with the community where they both grew up.

DIANA DIAZ
Real Estate Agent
Raised in Groesbeck, TX, Diana Diaz has an adept understanding of the Limestone County market. This is her 5th year of real estate experience and she has a deep knowledge of residential homes, farms, and ranch landscapes. It is Diana's mission to provide buyers and sellers with the best insights and property deals within the area.
With a background in Communication and Psychology from Texas Tech, she is able to duly understand a client’s needs, attributes, and values to match them to homes that fit their profile. Caitlin Curry was born and raised in Mexia, Texas. She is married to her best friend James, and together have two beautiful children, Miley and Rhett. Most of her free time is spent hunting, fishing, traveling, and coaching her kid's sports teams. Caitlin graduated from Texas A&M University in 2016 with a Bachelors in Business Management. She recently received her Real Estate license and couldn't be more excited to see where the journey with Heritage Real Estate Group takes her!

LORI STEPHENSON

Lori Stephenson is a proud native of West Texas who embarked on her real estate career in 1997, driven by a passion for helping people find their ideal homes. In 2013, she relocated to Iowa and became a licensed real estate agent in both Iowa and Illinois, where she worked diligently until 2023. Lori's journey brought her back to her home state of Texas that same year, where she rekindled her love for real estate.
Lori specializes as a Military Relocation Specialist (MRP). In this role, she is committed to assisting service members and their families in navigating the complexities of home buying and selling, ensuring they find the best property deals tailored to their unique situations.

In her free time, she enjoys a variety of activities such as cycling, weightlifting, kayaking, knitting, and embracing the great outdoors.
